Emma is a highly experienced lawyer practicing in family law. Originally from Cambridge, Emma worked in Wellington for 15 years, before returning to the Waikato where she joined Jocelyn Cooney at Cooney Law Limited. Emma moved to NWM in December 2025. Emma's specialist areas include acting for children in family court, and she is on both the Lawyer for Child and Lawyer for Subject Person lists.
Emma is strongly community minded. She is a member of a Law Society Standards Committee and a Director of The Neurodiversity in Education Project, which helps support children with neurodiversity.
